this exceptional red is a blend of corvina, rondinella and molinara grapes. created through the “appassimento” process, masi has set the benchmark for ripasso. it is ruby red in color and very viscous. campofiorin has strong and attractive cherry aromas on the nose, with a pleasing spiciness. it is soft and well-balanced with hints of ripe fruit, black currants and vanilla. it’s excellent finish leaves you wanting more.

the “cult” wine amarone is represented perfectly with costasera. this classico blend of corvina, rondinella and molinara is aged 24 months in slavonian oak barrels, and further aged 6 months in bottle prior to releasing. it is intense, deep dark red in color with violet tinges on the edges. costasera has a strong bouquet of plums and cherries with attractive hints of coffee and cocoa. it has an excellent balance between supporting acidity and soft tannins that melt into an intruiging softness. imposing structure gives this a long, slow finish.
