this light white from northern italy in the foothills of the carnian alps is 100% tocai friuliano. it is very well balanced and vinified in stainless steel. it is a perfect match to any seafood dish. it has whimsical hints of melon and fruit, yet bold enough to pair with hard cheeses and dried fruit.

la mozza morellino di scansano
located in la maremma in tuscany, la mozza is a collaboration of joseph bastianich and mario batali. the wine is 85% morellino (sangiovese) and is aged in french barriques for 10 months. hints of the terrior are shown throughout this artisinal wine, while the traditions of a tuscan red prevail.
